Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), also known as ubiquinone or ubidecarenone, is a fundamental endogenous factor involved in cell energy production that shows protective properties in oxidative stress, mainly in skeletal and heart muscle1.
Its use as a dietary supplement to support intensive exercise in athletes and to improve athletic performance and recovery in elderly athletes1 is growing.
